Sandra has trained over 7 horses to the upper levels of dressage, and
many more to First and Second level. She earned her USDF Bronze
and Silver Rider Medals with horses that she started training as foals. She is a Masters Graduate of the Isaac Royal Academy of Equestrian Studies. From the age of 13, Sandra trained daily under the guidance of her coach Carolyn Rose. She had the opportunity to ride horses of various breeds, strides, and temperaments. She learned that every horse has different training issues, strengths and weaknesses. Because of her intense training at the Isaac Royal Academy she became the youngest USDF "L" Graduate (dressage judge) in the United States.

Sandra rides the Aspirant Technique, a sophisticated balance and timing of
the aids developed by her coach Carolyn Rose at the Isaac Royal Academy of Equestrian Studies. The horse is asked to balance in self-carriage from the
very beginning of training with light use of the reins. He is asked to come through the back using the seat and to yield softly on both sides from the rider's thigh, staying relaxed and happy in his work. The Aspirant Technique encourages positive reinforcement such as treats to ensure that the horse
looks forward to his training sessions. Long-lining and piaffe in-hand are also incorporated into the horse's daily training for increased obedience, steering, and engagement of the hind legs.

Currently Sandra is training her Friesian gelding Douwe and a Lipizzan/ Thoroughbred mare named Victress. After becoming a Masters
Graduate she is focusing mostly on her judging career and developing her business SandraB. Designs. She is available for training but space
is limited. Contact Sandra or Carolyn Rose with any training inquiries.
