Equine Spirit Newsletter
October 2008

The Isaac Royal Equestrian Theater was the highlight of October. It is actually my favorite time of year, with the fall foliage and the opportunity to perform with my horses to music. We did some new routines this year including a new 6 horse routine inspired by the Beijing Olympics. Carole recently purchased a gelding named Tonka who looks just like Spirit from the Disney movie. Within three weeks he was trained to perform bareback in his very own routine. Two of this year's foals were included in the show, frolicking beside their mothers. I ventured into a new routine incorporating the Wings of Isis that I have been dancing with. I rode holding up my wings while Vienna did trot, canter and flying changes. I also danced on the ground while my friend Deanna Thompson rode and did a routine with students from my bellydance class. The weather was great, we had amazing audience turnout for each show and I can't wait until our next performance!

Later in the month I judged at a Ride/Re-ride Clinic in Hollis, Maine and a fun show for the Western Maine Dressage Association held in Sumner, Maine.
