	Sandra started working with Max, a 17.2 hand Percheron/TB cross, in the fall of 2006. His previous owner had successfully shown Max through Third Level in 2004 before he came to Isaac Royal Farm. Sandra took the winter and spring to bring him back into shape and develop a partnership with him. She had to be particularly careful because he had navicular and could not be overworked. In 2007 Sandra and Max competed at Fourth Level and Prix St. Georges earning scores up to 65%. Max helped Sandra earn scores towards the USEF "r" Judges Program. They also showed a musical freestyle at the USDF Regional Championships and had a blast performing in the Isaac Royal Equestrian Theater. Sandra was preparing Max to show at Grand Prix when he unexpectedly died due to colic complications in January of 2008. Max touched so many lives and is greatly missed and lovingly remembered.
