* Sandra's News ~ June 2009 *
June has been a busy month of judging. Sandra judged a SMDA (Southern Maine Dressage Association) schooling show in Hollis, a Pony Club Dressage Rally in Dover-Foxcroft, and a dressage schooling show in Durham at Esprit Equestrian Center."A special thanks goes out to all the stables and volunteers that run schooling shows. They are a lot of work to organize but they are a great benefit to the local riders. I was pleased to see that the shows were very full and that many people were showing this year despite the troubles we are having in the economy right now." -Sandra

Sandra's bellydance class has moved to a summer location. She is giving classes at Isaac Royal Farm in the indoor riding arena. There is ample space, privacy, and also some mirrors. Class prices are $5 an hour and there are no extra members fees being at this location. Sandra's class is preparing for some August performances, dates and times will be listed on her calendar.

Sandra's main show horses this summer are Rorious Maximus "Rory" and Royal Vienna. She is showing both horses at Fourth Level to earn scores towards the next level of judging. Rory is just turning 10 this year and does very well with his halfpasses and pirouettes. We are focusing on improving his flying changes and making him more expressive and active in his stride. Vienna has been shown to Grand Prix so the movements are well known to her. Sandra is working on better partnership and communication to ride the best test that they can.
