Sandra has been judging consistently since 2001. She passed the United States Dressage Federation "L" Judges Program in 2002 with distinction due to her training at the Isaac Royal Academy of Equestrian Studies. She currently judges shows in New England and in Florida. She is positive and clear in her approach. In 2009 Sandra completed the requirements to begin her training as an "r" (recognized) dressage judge through the United States Equestrian Federation. To qualify she needed 5 scores of 65% or higher at Fourth level or above at recognized competitions. Riding Lucinda (Lipizzan mare), Max (Percheron/Thoroughbred gelding), and Vienna (Lipizzan mare), she completed those scores after many years of hard work and determination.

Sandra gives judging lectures frequently at the Isaac Royal Academy of Equestrian Studies. Students on the Academy Program learn step by step how to judge, comment, score, and develop their eye through videos and first-hand experiences. Sandra can also give lectures and clinics to groups of students that are interested in learning how to judge. She also gives clinics from the judges perspective that help the rider
and audience know what the judge is looking for in each test.
