* Sandra's News ~ August 2009 *
August was a month of performing! The first weekend of August was the "Dover Days" parade. Isaac Royal Farm took 6 horses and a large float that looked like an Arabian castle with sand dunes. The riders were dressed like bellydancers and there were even dancers on the ground with some flowing veils. All the horses were painted with beautiful, intricate designs that glittered in the sun. The Isaac Royal group made it onto the local news including an interview with Sandra. There were over a hundred horses in the parade to support the "Going Green" theme. Pegasus Bellydance (Sandra's dance troupe) performed at a bellydance show in Bangor. Julie Day, Valerie Warren, and Wendy Graves danced with Sandra in a new routine choreographed by Lydia Rose. They incorporated some tribal moves and intricate veil work. Sandra still teaches classes on Monday evenings at Isaac Royal Farm from 6-7 pm.

Isaac Royal Farm held a concert at the end of August. Harmony Hill Band did an amazing job and the setting was very beautiful. Set up in the indoor arena with a stage surrounded by hay bales and flowers, it was very cozy and pictueresque. Sandra and Wendy Graves danced the routine that they did in Bangor and Sandra also performed with the Wings of Isis. Morgan Smith, in addition to being a member of the Harmony Hill Band, is also a student at Isaac Royal Farm and a bellydancer in Sandra's class.
